Dear Clinical Providers:

We invite you to our next conversation about responding to the crisis in Puerto Rico from a culturally responsive and trauma informed approach. We welcome your participation in reflecting on this work and exploring strategies and lessons learned as we support one another. Thanks, in advance, for journeying with us. Participants are encouraged to RSVP. To the best of our knowledge, we have written the objectives to meet cultural competency standards for CEUs. Hope to see you there!

1.5 CEU's available for LCPC, LCSW, LCP (for $15; cash or check preferred)

Participants will:
1. Learn about the challenges and opportunities that exist when responding to crises in a culturally responsive, trauma-informed interdisciplinary approach.

2. Learn about how collective and historical trauma become internalized in one’s personal/cultural identity and narrative.

3.  Explore the impact of colonization and the dehumanization of a people on an individual’s psyche and how enactments may occur in therapy where the therapist may be unconsciously complicit in ignoring the impact on the historical, social and cultural roots of our clients’ identities and the spaces they occupy as human beings in the world.

 Please RSVP here.
